and I found the air fresheners shaped like trees amusing
SVG petrol station - Lola Bott
I bought a water here. It was a very crowded Friday with a fully packed parking lot and a full gas station. There's also a sausage stand with bratwurst. I'm vegetarian, but online they say it's the best bratwurst in Hamburg. But beware, the donuts are sometimes dry and a napkin costs an extra 50 cents. The selection is truly exceptional, everything you might need or not, definitely geared towards trucks. There's also a driving school here, which is apparently good as well. I don't have a driver's license myself, so I can't comment on that. There was also a Burda Style magazine on the rack, and I found the air fresheners shaped like trees amusing.
In other reviews, it's said that the gas station is very cheap, cheaper than in their hometown 60 km away, but others avoid this gas station for private reasons. I don't pay much attention to gasoline prices, and I've never refueled before. I can never judge if a car is far enough away to cross the street and wait until I can't see any more cars. Apparently, you get a free coffee with a purchase of 500 liters or more. But I don't really find the gas station inviting for lingering. I sat on a wall across the street and found the place quite noisy, especially with many cars and trucks passing by.
Last Saturday, everything was empty here and not as noisy. The restroom was occupied, so we kept walking. They also have all sorts of decorations for cars and trucks. I saw tie-down straps and spare parts as well. I thought the price for my water was reasonable. At first, I only had a 20€ bill, but then I found a 2€ coin. By the way, they offer the sauces for the bratwurst for self-dosing. The area is a bit strange, but it's hardly a detour and easy to find with GPS. Just turn right shortly after the Elbbrücken. Today, there was a woman behind the counter, and the pizza slices are homemade. Last week, there was a man there, but I didn't buy anything then. You need to be careful not to slip near the gas pumps, and sandwiches are 50 cents cheaper after 5 PM.
